Technique
I created a snow and mountains with a thick texture paste layer covered with oil paints. I made a texture with a palette knife; it adds a volume and a 3D effect to the painting. You can feel it by touching it gently with your fingers.
A mood
This Rocky Mountain Skiing Painting shows ski slopes with skiers enjoying this amazing sport. Pine trees and snowy mountains on the background make this textured oil painting especially cute. A fallen skier is a “cherry on top” in order to add some humor to the painting.
About the Artist
Born in a small flat country with no mountains, I saw them for the first time in 2005, when I first visited Italian Alps. After that, I absolutely fell in love with mountains and learnt to ski. Going down the slopes with beautiful snowy landscapes, enjoy the fresh air and clean your mind is what fascinates me in this sport type. Besides skiing, I travel a lot, and this is where I get a lot of inspiration. My art depicts what I observe around the globe. Using oil paint on canvas, I bring my vision of the world to life in a figurative and majestic way.
At first rather cold, the colors I use are gradually becoming warm and fanned under my brushstrokes and palette knife. This technique adds abstract effects that bring unique vibrations to my paintings and often drape them with a veil of melancholy. Much appreciated by art collectors, I wish to share my artistic passion with others: in my eyes, painting makes a house a home.
