On May 28, Grace and the City Solo Exhibition of Diana Pigni was opened. It took place in the Hotel “Radisson Blu Daugava” – 23 paintings are exhibited, mostly with ballerina paintings and cityscapes. Artist especially loves a theme of the contrasts, therefore in her exhibition, she unified the feminine grace together with the hectic cityscapes. It was possible to see the paintings of Diana Pigni in the hotel restaurant “Panorama” for the whole summer of 2022.
The Opening took place in May, some of Diana’s family members, close friends and admires came to support Diana in her very first solo Exhibition. It has been a real success and all the hotel stuff members complimented Diana when meeting her.

Born in a small town not far from a metropolis, it is the urban landscapes that have always fascinated Diana the most. She travels a lot, and this is where she gets a lot of inspiration. Her art depicts what she observes around the globe. Finally, as a reminder of her childhood in a quite humid climate, the representation of night rains in big cities remains her favorite subject but not limited to. Using oil paint on canvas, the artist brings her vision of the world to life in a figurative and majestic way. At first rather cold, the colors she uses are gradually becoming warm and fanned under her brushstrokes and palette knife. This technique adds abstract effects that bring unique vibrations to her paintings and often drape them with a veil of melancholy. Much appreciated by art collectors, she wishes to share her artistic passion with others: in her eyes, painting makes a house a home.
