Art is the most intense way to express yourself, to inspire others and to show your individualism…

Diana Pigni is an award-winning artist celebrated for her emotionally expressive and textured oil paintings. Her original works — spanning landscapes, cityscapes, figurative art, and animal portraits — have found their way into private collections around the world, including in the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, China, the UK, European Countries and beyond.
Diana’s love for art traces back to childhood, when she would often sketch female figures and fashion designs on the back of her school notes. Although her early career took a different path, she developed her passion for art later in life, after she earned a degree in Business Administration and Economics and spent several years working in international companies. This experience equipped her with valuable skills in logistics, marketing, and analytics, which now support her career as an independent artist.
Diana’s professional journey as an artist began in 2017, when she discovered her passion for oil painting and created her very first works in the medium.
In 2020, Diana began investing seriously in her artistic development, attending private and group lessons, along with online courses. Through exploring different styles and subjects, she discovered her signature in the impasto oil technique — a dynamic and expressive method using thick oil paint applied with hard brushes and palette knives. Her work blends impressionist energy with realistic detail and abstract nuances, resulting in vibrant, multidimensional compositions. The same year, Diana participated in her first group exhibition in Venice. She began gaining recognition among international art collectors.
In 2022, Diana held a solo exhibition – “Grace and the City” at the Radisson Hotel in Riga, warmly attended by friends, supporters, and distinguished guests from her professional and personal circles. That same year, she also took part in the Artetra Collective Exhibition in Milan, Italy, where her showcased painting was successfully sold to a collector in Canada.
In 2023 – Diana began a collaboration with the French art gallery chain Carré d’artistes. She successfully sold her artworks in Strasbourg and held her first personal vernissage event — a live painting demonstration and solo exhibition, where she met and connected with collectors in person. She also has her art exhibited in Sedona, AZ – United States and Istanbul, Turkey. That same year, Diana held another exhibition in Latvia, highlighting her evolving technique and growing creativity.
A technical drawing course at the Architecture Department of Riga Technical University helped Diana refine her perspective and composition skills, enhancing her ability to paint more dynamic and accurate cityscapes. Her New York Skyline Painting was published in World of Interiors magazine by Conde Nast UK January – 2023 issue.
In 2024, Diana moved back to Italy and began attending the Milan Academy of Art, an experience that significantly enhanced her drawing skills and sharpened her attention to detail. This period marked a turning point in the refinement of her technique and deepened her commitment to mastering her craft. The same year, during the Paris Olympic Games, Diana began her successful collaboration with the Carré d’Artistes gallery in Saint-Germain, Paris where her work is now part of a permanent exhibition. In May, 2025, she came to the gallery to host a highly successful vernissage, featuring her latest art collection and a live painting session. The event drew art collectors from around the world, many of whom acquired new pieces for their collections.
Diana has donated her artworks to various charitable causes. Most recently, one of her landscape paintings was sold at the “Asta Luce” charity auction in support of Save the Children Italy. The event was organized by Rotary Club Monza Villa Reale in collaboration with Basezero in May, 2025.
Inspired by travel and the beauty of the world around her, Diana continues to infuse her art with the emotions and energy she gathers from nature, people, and places. Each painting she creates is a new universe, filled with colour, feeling, and intention.
Her motto is “Spread Love, Spread Art!”
