Technique
I made a rain in a thick oil paint texture with a palette knife, this adds a special abstract effect and gives a volume to the painting. You can feel the texture by touching the painting gently with your fingers.
A mood
This Urban painting shows a nice evening in NYC, just after the rain. People are walking on the streets, and the cars are rushing somewhere. You can also see some colorful lights reflecting on the wet ground, these look especially effective.

About the Artist
Born in a small town not far from a metropolis, it is the urban landscapes that have always fascinated me the most. I travel a lot, and this is where I get a lot of inspiration. My art depicts what I observe around the globe. Finally, as a reminder of my childhood in a quite humid climate, the representation of night rains in big cities remains my favorite subject but not limited to. Using oil paint on canvas, I bring my vision of the world to life in a figurative and majestic way.
At first rather cold, the colors I use are gradually becoming warm and fanned under my brushstrokes and palette knife. This technique adds abstract effects that bring unique vibrations to my paintings and often drape them with a veil of melancholy. Much appreciated by art collectors, I wish to share my artistic passion with others: in my eyes, painting makes a house a home.
